PulleyDrive: Gearless powered pulleys for belt conveyors

The drive is the drum: no gearbox, no oil, sealed to IP69K in stainless steel. Configure one online and get the exact part number, a 3D model and VFD parameters.

The drum is the drive.

Inside a PulleyDrive there’s no motor and gearbox pack and no oil bath. Magnets on the shell turn around a fixed stator on the shaft: one transfer of energy, straight to belt pull. We call it Direct Drive Rotary Motion (DDRM).

  • No oil to change
  • No seals to replace
  • No gears to wear out
  • No scheduled rebuilds
  • Mounted on both ends
  • Constant torque across a wide speed range

Powered pulley assembled: a ribbed stainless shell between two mounting ends
Sealed shell, mounted on both ends.
The same powered pulley opened up: the stator sits on the fixed shaft inside the turning shell, with no gearbox
Opened up: a stator on the shaft, magnets in the shell, nothing in between.

Built for your belt.

Choose the shell for the belt you run and the connection for the way you wire.

Shells

Cut shells
Machined to drive the belt you run, sealed to IP69K.
Square Drive
A four-flat shell for set-screw or laser-welded sprockets.
Crowned
A plain crowned shell that keeps a flat belt tracking.
Flat or lagged
Plain, or rubber-lagged for grip.

Connections

Flying lead
Straight or right angle, 2 to 10 m of cable, wired into your own enclosure.
Junction box
A sealed IP69K terminal box on the drive.
Repairable connector box
Right angle, so the cable can be replaced on the line.

Belt names are trademarks of their owners. Not every belt or connection is built at every size; the configurator shows what fits.

Runs on the VFD you have.

Any VFD with a PM mode or sensorless vector control. PulleyDrive runs on Allen-Bradley, Yaskawa, Lenze, Emerson, with precise control over speed and timing.

Always use a VFD. Connecting a One Motion drive straight to main power will damage it and void the warranty.

From size to part number.

The configurator walks you through it in four steps, any time, without waiting on a call.

Configure a PulleyDrive (opens in a new tab)
  1. Pick the diameter and face width.

Six diameters from 58 to 215 mm, with face widths to suit the belt.

  2. Choose your belt and connection.

Every belt built at that size is listed, and the 3D model shows the real cut.

  3. Get the part number and documents.

Each build has its own page with the 3D model, layout drawing and VFD parameters, and shows whether it’s in stock.

  4. Request a quote.

Straight from the summary, or send us the part number. In-stock builds ship within 10 days from Rogers, Arkansas.

Questions people ask.

Which size do I need?

Start from your conveyor’s pulley diameter, belt width and the belt pull it needs. Each size above shows its range, and the configurator lists every build that fits. If you’re not sure, send us the conveyor details and we’ll size it.

Will it work with my belt?

PulleyDrive is built for plain, crowned, lagged and Square Drive shells, and cut shells for Intralox, Volta, Habasit, Uni and Lumsden Wiremation belts. The configurator shows every belt built at each size.

How fast can I get one?

In-stock builds ship within 10 days from our Rogers, Arkansas headquarters. The configurator shows which builds are in stock.

What if my size isn’t listed?

We design drives around the machine too. Tell us the diameter, face width and load, and our engineers will build it as a custom MagDrive configuration.

Which VFD do I need?

Any VFD with a permanent magnet (PM) mode or sensorless vector control. PulleyDrive runs on Allen-Bradley, Yaskawa, Lenze, Emerson drives, and each build’s page has its VFD parameters.

Can I wire it straight to line power?

No. One Motion drives always run from a VFD. Connecting one to main power without a VFD will damage it and void the warranty.

Does it need maintenance?

No routine maintenance. There’s no gearbox, no oil to change and no seals to replace, so there are no scheduled rebuilds.

What’s the warranty?

Every new One Motion direct drive carries a 3-year limited warranty covering materials and mechanical components under normal operating conditions.
